Heating your home shouldn’t cost the earth
We all need to heat our homes in winter. For most people in London, that means burning gas, which costs money and emits carbon dioxide. Once you have done what you can on insulation and learned to live with the thermostat a couple of degrees lower, it’s time to take another look at the heating system itself.

Improve your heating controls first
It’s cheaper and can make a bigger difference to improve your heating controls - optimising when and where you heat your home - before embarking on any major refit. If you call a heating engineer or a plumber to improve your heating, and they will invariably recommend that you to spend thousands on replacing your boiler: understandable really, that’s their job. However, you might find that you can get the result you want for a couple of hundred pounds by fitting heating controls.

Then consider major changes
If your existing system is on its last legs, then obviously, this is a good time to look at your options, including renewables. We can help advise you here too.

“It definitely makes the house feel warmer. And we no longer heat rooms that stay empty for most of the day.”
